Today on 3 December 2002 the President of the Lawyers’ Committee on Human Rights (Yucom), Biljana Kovačević-Vućo and the Coordinator of the Forum for Ethnic Relations, Dusan Janjic, submitted to the President of the Committee for National Minorities of the National Assembly, Mr. Meho Omerović and the Vice-President of the same committee Dr. Šandor Pal, the thesis for the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Serbia on the freedom and rights of minority communities and their members.

It was promised that the Committee session to discuss this civic initiative will be held in the next few days. The Committee will then initiate the procedure in the National Assembly for adoption of the law on the freedoms and rights of minority communities and their members.
